Every August, Cala Ratjada comes alive to celebrate the much-anticipated Sant Roc festivities, in honor of the patron saint of this coastal town. For several days, the village pulses with a vibrant program full of activities for all ages: concerts, fairs, sporting events, children’s shows, and cultural events that turn every corner of Cala Ratjada into a special moment of its own.
One of the highlights of the celebration is the eve of Sant Roc, when the harbor becomes a grand open-air stage under the stars. The evening begins with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the sky and sea, followed by a live musical performance that keeps the party going late into the night.
In recent years, a standout event has been the now-traditional Trakabar, an original and lively experience where the Capdepera Town Band moves from bar to bar, filling the streets with festive music. The route ends with a big finale at the iconic Plaça dels Mariners, where locals and visitors gather to continue the celebration.
Due to their proximity on the calendar, the Sant Roc festivities blend naturally with the celebrations of Sant Bartomeu in Capdepera, creating a festive flow that makes August one of the liveliest months in the whole municipality.
