COLL D’ARTÀ
Ses Pites – Coll d’Artà
This varied route alternates between fields, mountains and the beach and its greatest challenge lies in the distance to cover and a few stony tracks. We depart along by the sea on the pretty track Sendero de ses Pites. From the beach in Font de Sa Cala we head towards Canyamel, where we cross a bridge over the river bed. This marshy biotope provides a natural habitat all year round for a great number of wild birds.
We cycle on roads to reach the Via Verde, the old railway line, where we ride towards Coll d’Artà. On earthen and mountain tracks we pass by Serral d’en Rulo and Bellpuig, then take an asphalt road downhill to Artà. From there we once again pick up the Via Verde and finally arrive back in Cala Ratjada.
