ROUTE 12
Torre Canayamel – Na Maians
This route connects the tower known as Torre de Canyamel with the Na Maians-Capdepera route. It begins at the 13th century Gothic style medieval defence tower and takes the road towards Artà. After just 300 metres on the right we pick up a rural track on earthen roads and follow it along the fertile valley of Canyamel, close to the river bed in various places.
This is a good opportunity to take photos of the local flora and fauna. When we connect up with the circular route of Na Maians we can either head towards Capdepera by turning right and passing by Can Planetes and Son Febrer or we can keep straight on towards the Via Verde. Be very careful when crossing the main roads on the way.
