Route 17 begins on the beach at Cala Torta and takes us to the beach of S’Arenalet in the heart of the Nature Park of the Llevant peninsula in the northeast of the island, on the northernmost point of the Llevant range of hills. From Cala Torta we head north following the coastal path, close past the various unspoilt beaches of this emblematic nature park: Cala Torta, Cala Mitjana, Cala Estreta, Es Matzoc with its tower, Font Celada and finally S’Arenalet d’Aubarca.
At the same time we have the chance to appreciate the wonderful diversity of the landscape with steep cliffs, caves, springs and river beds, woodland and a considerable number of species endemic to the Balearic Islands that add to the value of the nature park. The signs on the way are those of the park (GR).
