WETLANDS OF CANYAMEL
The stage is set for real life
The area has a surface of 10,000m2 and is a source of biodiversity where a large number of migratory birds, amphibians and reptiles come to nest, which would be impossible to find without permanent water.
The wetlands area of Canyamel is a Site of Community Importance (SCI) and is part of the Natura 2000 protection and conservation network of the European Union. It features an interpretation centre where you will find pictures and information about the local vegetation and fauna. There is also a footpath with a guided itinerary giving information on the environmental features.
