A short but wonderful route with tracks and trails leading up and down that introduces us to the area around Cala Ratjada from its most natural and scenic side: the prettiest beaches, secluded little bays and the extensive pine forest that surrounds them. We set off and climb a little way up “Telegraph Mountain”, then take the track through pines and dwarf palms called “Es Coll de Marina” that ends at the wide expanse of dunes behind the beach at Cala Mesquida.
On the way down we pass along a river bed, from which we then climb up again to ride around the shoulder of the mountain called “Es Puig de s’Àguila”. On the way we pass several of the traditional old lime kilns, “Forns de Calç”, typically found in the woods on Mallorca.
