PUNTA DE N’AMER
Cala Ratjada – Punta de n’Amer
We suggest a lengthy but technically not difficult excursion that takes us to the old defence tower “Es Castell” in the landscape conservation area of Punta de n’Amer, which lies between the tourist resorts of Cala Millor and Sa Coma. From Cala Ratjada we make an obligatory little detour to the Castle of Capdepera (impressive medieval fortifications) and then follow roads and lanes to the town of Son Servera, where a short stop at the so-called New Church is highly recommended (the church is open to the sky).
We ascend the hill called Puig de sa Bassa, where we are rewarded with delightful views over the bay. The descent along tracks and roads leads to the vicinity of Sa Coma, where a stretch of wide and level track takes us to Punta de n’Amer. Part of the way home is along the pretty coastal promenades of Cala Millor, Sa Coma and Port Vell.
