Speaking of Capdepera always evokes sun, beach, nature, heritage or sports. However, it also means gastronomic richness. The extensive and varied offer in the municipality opens up a whole world of culinary possibilities ranging from the most traditional to the latest signature creations.
This is the case of the restaurants Voro and Can Simoneta, which have been awarded Soles by the prestigious Repsol Gastronomic Guide.
Led by Álvaro Salazar, Voro in ‘Cap Vermell’ hotel is the only restaurant in the Balearic Islands with two Michelin stars. The Chef presents a national gastronomic proposal in which his creativity is expressed without renouncing to the commitment to his environment, roots and memory, thus placing special emphasis on the Mediterranean. Here, the customer appreciates the careful attention to detail, with main courses of substance dishes exemplifying an exquisite technique and delicacy, split into two tasting menus of different lengths that are complemented by the three hundred references in the wine cellar.
The Mexican David Moreno, at the Hotel Can Simoneta, proposes a journey of Mexican haute cuisine with some of the most delicious stopovers. “Mexiterraneo” is the name of a gastronomic approach, which is remarkably well executed, inspired by the recipes of his native country and adapted, when necessary, to the local larder: red prawns, red snapper, lamb, goat’s milk….
The chef proves to be a good hand at seasoning and is complemented by the work of sommelier Nene García in pairing cocktails, sakes, mezcals and fine wines. The sea views enhance the experience.
In addition to these culinary experiences, in Capdepera we find more hotels with their own restaurants characterised by signature cuisine, each one offering a unique and unrepeatable experience.

The municipality of Capdepera has always been committed to first-class gastronomy. An excellent proof of this is the Ses Rotges hotel, owned by the Tétard family, located in an 18th century mansion, which in 1977 was awarded the first Michelin star in the history of the Balearic Islands.
For decades, our municipality has always promoted and worked around the cuisine de auteur; a figure that still plays a decisive role today in the local restaurant industry.
